Rules, Limitations & Renewal
- Non-transferable: Valid only for the vehicle registered with the FASTag; misusing it on another vehicle may lead to deactivation .
- Inactive beyond coverage: After 20 trips or one year, FASTag automatically switches back to normal pay-per-use mode. Renewal requires a new ₹3,000 purchase—no auto-renewal.
- Coverage: Only valid at NH and NE toll plazas. For tolls on state or local roads, regular FASTag charges apply
